Courteney Cox

Courteney is the name of an American actress, director and producer from the United States. The most famous of her roles is her role in the TV show "Friends," and in one of the main roles in the 'Scream' movie franchise. Her birthplace was in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting as when she was a child. She was enrolled in the study of architectural studies at Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC But, she soon left her studies to pursue a fulltime acting profession. She made her film debut in the role in 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining recognition after she played one of major role in the horror slasher film "Scream". It was extremely profitable commercially, and it earned eleven times its budget. Also, it was praised by the public and critics. The actress reprised her character in the entire trilogy from the original film. Her popularity reached highs when she took on the main character in the popular sitcom 'Friends'. The show won numerous nominations and awards for the role. The show and its huge success, ran for 10 years. Her most recent works includes a part as a co-star in the film drama "Mothers and daughters". A few of the prizes she won include her TV Guide Award in recognition of her performance on "Friends" and the Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV show 'Cougar Town'.
