Belknap grew up in Damariscotta. The parents of her were David and Louise Belknap. She studied at Lincoln Academy, Newcastle Maine. As a student at Middlebury College in Vermont she gained an interest in acting. After earning her Master's degrees in Fine Arts, she studied at the American Conservatory Theater. Her TV credits include regular parts on Medical Investigation and The Handler (related To ER as well as Third Watch), a regular role in Deadline and guest-starring parts on Law & Order Law & Order Special Victims' Unit, and Without a Trace. Belknap played in the film Alchemy and made her debut feature film appearance with the independent film The Reality Trap. Belknap was the first actress to make her debut on the CSI: NY crime-drama in the role of the detective Lindsay Monroe, during Zoo York's season two episode. Anna Ragsdale Camp was an American performer and singer. In an official PEOPLE statement Skylar and Anna Camp have confirmed their divorce was mutual and peaceful.
